The Gaia hypothesis is simply that idea that the Earth is a living organism
by frankiespeakin ininteresting c&p plus link:
this, however, lead to lovelock perceiving the earth as a complete whole.
while on a walk in the countryside in england, lovelock described his hypothesis to his neighbor william golding (author of lord of the flies), and asked advice concerning a suitable name for it.

If Jesus died so Christians can be saved......
by DevonMcBride inthan why aren't there "thank you's" going out to those responsible for his death?
obviously god pre-planned the crucifixion and resurrection.
so those that killed him were following god's plan.. devon

The whole logic behind the reasoning that jesus died for our sins so that we might be saved totally escapes me.

AUSTRALIAN EX-JWS & JWS
by Dansk inthe february 14, 2004, issue of the age contains an interesting interview with broadcaster kate langbroek.
this lady was one of jehovah's witnesses: "acceptance by them is conditional upon you remaining a jehovah's witness.
i don't have any friends who are witnesses now because i left.".

Hi ClearlyNow, thanks for your response, and as you can tell i have obviously read it.
I know i have only a few posts to go before i make "junior" but i just think that it's inappropriate to be labelled a "newbie" or a "junior" especially since i been around for a looooooong time
I just don't post that often. But i do alot of reading. Maybe I could get my description fast tracked to "Loiterer" or "Silent Jedi".
I'll just get back to my loitering now...
Cheers, DK

Are you *really* into something?
by DanTheMan ingetting to know various personalities on this board, i get to feeling that a missing component in my life is to get *really* into something.. for instance, the board has our resident intellectuals and political debaters.
i am in awe of the broad scope of knowledge and seemingly instant recall of obscure facts that many on this board seem to have.
i consider myself to be fairly intelligent, but i am light years from being a true intellectual.

I guess I'm into alot of things, especially since leaving the wts.
Biggest realisation i had was that I could now explore my musical abilities. So I'm really into composition and production right now.
Also into Motorcycles, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Software development and girls!
Cheers, DK
